Our client, a Brackley based group of companies, is seeking an *** Accounts Payable Assistant *** to join their small team.
Responsible to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Payable Assistant will ensure the provision of a high-quality accounts payable service that supports the effective and efficient control of group financial resources, within statutory and regulatory guidelines.
Working within the finance team supporting accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, controls and processes, responsibilities include:
Responsible for receiving, processing and verifying all invoices related to accounts payables.
Ensure all creditors are paid in an accurate, efficient & timely manner within agreed terms.
Manage all elements including payment for internal employee expenses and ensure all records are accurately maintained and relevant supporting documentation is reconciled.
Carry out all transactions within company guidelines, procedures, efficiently, timely, ensuring accuracy at all times.
Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
Ensure integrity and confidentiality at all times with all elements of financial reporting.
Manage & Develop relationships with both internal and external customers/suppliers.
Manage all credit card and reconciliations.
Responsible for collating all relevant information for the preparation of VAT Returns.
Prepare analysis of accounts and produce regular reports as required.
Support the finance team including credit control, system and process improvements and project work as required.
Academic/Educational Requirements
Educated to ‘A’ level or equivalent
Studying or gained a professional accounting qualification AAT
Required Skills/Experience:
Minimum 2 years in Accounts Payable role
Possess confident and effective communication skills (both written & verbal)
Proven attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Deadline-oriented and proven ability to stick to time constraints
Computer Literacy including knowledge of accounting systems and excel
Positive and effective interpersonal skills and a team player
Experience of Oracle NetSuite – desirable
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established Brackley business, working 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday. Our client offers a salary up to £28,000 per annum, 23 days holiday + Bank holidays together with 1 day for Birthday.
