Our Brackley based client has an exciting opportunity for a 3 Axis CNC Operator (Production) to join their production team.
Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Operator to join their manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and technical aptitude. The CNC Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (3 Axis CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
Responsibilities of the CNC Operator:
Set up and prepare CNC machines for production runs by loading materials, inputting program codes, and QC checks through the machining of parts.
Interpret engineering drawings to determine machining specifications and requirements.
Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and adherence to specifications, making necessary adjustments as needed.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure their optimal performance and longevity.
Conduct quality checks on products using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet required tolerances and specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues and program glitches to minimize downtime and maintain continuous production.
Collaborate with team members, including engineers and team leaders, to optimize production processes and identify areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine settings, and adjustments made during the machining process.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Operate other machine shop equipment (saws, drills etc.) as required.
Past experience for the CNC Operator role – An understanding of some or all of the following will help:
Basic understanding of CNC machinery operation and programming.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Familiarity with CNC programming languages and software (e.g., G-code, CAM software).
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to diagnose and address minor machine issues.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Working hours are 40 hours per week starting at £11.25 an hour – £23,400 per annum.
