Working within a niche market, our client has enjoyed substantial growth over the years, and they are looking to build the team in the warehouse picking and packing area.
The role involves picking and packing in the spares department including some computer work (courier labelling and their own in-house computer system for dispatch and goods in). Working normal business hours (Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week) in Brackley, the successful candidate will assist in managing and preparing orders generated by the office team for dispatch.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Printing off picking lists.
- Picking and packing of orders.
- Goods in and goods out duties.
- Assembly of ad-hoc orders.
- Forklift work (current forklift licence desirable although not essential).
Candidates will have a minimum of 1 year warehousing experience. You will also have good computer skills / knowledge and be happy to work with hand-tools to perform light assembly tasks on occasion. A forklift licence (FLT) is desirable although not essential.
The hours of work will be 9am to 5.30pm Mon-Fri and the candidate must be willing to be flexible to cover late courier pick-ups etc. which due to the nature of the job, does happen very occasionally.
For non-FLT applicants, our client is offering a basic joining salary of £21,000 per annum (c. £10.75 per hour), with a pay review of £21,500 per annum (c. £11.00 per hour) after 3 months.
Applicants with reach and counterbalance forklift licences will receive a joining salary of £22,500 per annum (c. £11.50 per hour), with a pay review of £23,000 per annum (c. £11.75 per hour) after 3 months.
Forklift training will be offered to non-licensed employees within the first year of employment, bringing salary in line with the company structure.
