Our client is seeking a *** Warehouse Operator *** to join their team located in Brackley.
As a Warehouse Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our client’s warehouse, maintaining excellent standards and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities for the Warehouse Operator job role:
Picking & Packing – Goods Out: Prepare orders for shipping in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and adherence to customer requirements. Follow standard operating procedures and conduct regular stock checks to maintain inventory accuracy. Conduct stock checks, replenish inventory, and dispatch parcels using correct carriers.
Goods In: Receive incoming deliveries, verify orders, and complete accurate data entry. Organize and store items following department procedures. Collaborate with relevant departments regarding discrepancies, stock issues, and faulty goods. Ensure incoming stock is appropriately labelled and stored in the correct location.
Returns: Manage returns as per established processes. Identify reasons for returns (damage or no longer required) and handle accordingly within standard operating procedures. Verify returned parts against paperwork and orders. If no longer required, complete administration and return parts to the correct bin location.
Support other areas of the business as and when necessary, duties to include:
Update system with bin locations promptly after putting away goods.
Check machines for discrepancies and damage, reporting any issues.
Perform conversions on machines as per customer orders, ensuring correct specifications are met.
Pick and pack machines and ancillary products safely for transit.
Key Requirements for the Warehouse Operator job role:
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
Good organization and time-management abilities.
Computer literacy, including proficiency in warehouse software.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and tasks.
Candidates will have a minimum of 1 year warehousing experience. You will also have good computer skills / knowledge and be happy to work with hand-tools to perform light assembly tasks on occasion. A forklift licence (FLT) is desirable although not essential.
The hours of work will be either 9 am to 5.30 pm or 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (dependant on department) Mon-Fri and the candidate must be willing to be flexible to cover late courier pick-ups etc. which due to the nature of the job, does happen very occasionally.
