  • Location: Buckingham
  • Salary: £12.00 to £12.50 per hour
  • Hours: 8.30 to 17.00 Monday to Thursday, 8.30 to 13.00 Friday. Business closed between 23rd December and 2nd January. 
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Holiday Entitlement: 20 days per annum plus Bank Holidays.
  • Pension – NEST

Job description for the Operative vacancy:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented *** Operative *** to join our client’s small production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating silicone printing pads according to specific customer requirements and specifications. This role involves the careful weighing, mixing, and processing of silicone components to produce high-quality printing pads in various shapes and sizes.

Key responsibilities for the Operative position:

  • Component Weighing and Mixing: Accurately weigh, record and mix individual components to create silicone mixtures (of varying grades) for printing pads, tailored to specific applications and customer specifications.
  • Vacuum Processing: Place the silicone mixture in a vacuum chamber to remove any air bubbles, ensuring a smooth and consistent final product.
  • Mould Preparation: Pour the vacuum-treated mixture into moulds, attaching the base as required by customer specifications.
  • Curing Process: Bake the moulds in an oven to cure the silicone, ensuring the pads meet the required hardness and durability.
  • Quality Inspection: Conduct thorough quality inspections of finished printing pads to ensure they meet our client’s high standards and requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
  • Ability to accurately weigh and mix components, with attention to detail.
  • Strong focus on quality control and precision.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet production deadlines.

Benefits:

  • Working hours can be flexible, however a typical week would be 38.5 hours per week.
