Our client, a fast-growing B2B business working with the UK grocery wholesale, foodservice, and convenience retail sectors, is looking for a driven Client Account Manager to join their expanding team. This is a product-led sales role, following the same process as selling tangible goods — identifying needs, demonstrating value, and closing deals — with a strong focus on long-term relationship building and commercial growth.
The Client Account Manager Opportunity 🔍
This role is pivotal in delivering growth and customer success. Initially centred on new business generation (approx. 90%), the position will naturally evolve into a more account-focused role (around 75% account management / 25% new business). You’ll be responsible for acquiring and retaining a portfolio of supplier and wholesale clients, promoting a defined product suite that meets real-world commercial needs. 📦

- Identify and build a pipeline of new business opportunities to meet growth targets 📊
- Manage and grow long-term client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, renewals, and upselling
- Lead the renewal and contracting process for a set group of clients
- Collaborate with leadership on pricing and commercial strategy 💷
- Keep CRM records (HubSpot) accurate and up to date 📇
- Promote and sell a clearly defined portfolio of products, using a consultative sales approach
- Support go-to-market strategies through events, marketing, and internal feedback 🎯
Client Account Manager - Candidate Profile 👤
The ideal candidate will be:
- Experienced in B2B sales and account management, ideally within grocery, foodservice, or wholesale 🛒
- Skilled at selling products — not services — using a structured and measurable sales process
- A strong communicator and confident negotiator with a commercial mindset 🗣️
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities
- Familiar with platforms such as Circana, Nielsen, or CGA (beneficial, but not essential)
- Proficient in CRM systems like HubSpot 💻

- Base salary up to £55,000 DOE
